Still on the hunt to find the best breakfast burrito in Denver, so of course my husband and I had to check out Burrito Giant! We had heard many good things about this spot, so we finally swung by this weekend. I ordered the regular-sized burrito w/ eggs & potato, veggie green chile (mild), and cheese, while my husband got the same order + chorizo in his. Heads up: the mild green chile is delicious but definitely has a kick! I love spice, but I decided to opt for mild just to be safe - and I'm glad I did! I can't imagine how spicy the hot chile would have been. The potatoes inside the burrito are more like hashbrowns - mushy and very tasty. And overall, I really loved how saucy this burrito was. Every bite was super flavorful, landing this burrito definitely in my top 5 breakfast burritos in Denver.
Gonna keep this one short and sweet. Really good burritos. A junior size filled me up after some intense cardio, and was less than 3.50, so well worth it. Got the eggs and potato, very tasty and savory and the tortilla was also perfect. Burrito was ready within a few minutes of ordering, came wrapped up in case you want to take it elsewhere. Why minus a star? Alas, I ordered a half veggie half beef, and got neither in my burrito. Its possible my order got mixed up, or they forgot. It was still very good. But I do mourn the loss. Will be back to try those and hopefully it works out.
Burrito Giant is an amazing deal! We grabbed breakfast burritos on the weekend and definitely should have ordered the smallest size burrito! It's entirely build your own! We enjoyed our burritos -- be warned these are not to be eaten in the car. They are wet and wild!
Sleeping in really paid off big time this morning because f you reheat their burritos (that you may or may not have been able to heat when it was originally ready due to the comforts of an amazing bed). However the reheat game turns this Bia (burrito) out. Easily taking a four to five star joint (depending on staff, crowds) to a minimum score of 7.5. So turn your tastebuds on and give your burritto a quick vacation to tan and crisp in the sunny oven. Thanks to all the great staff & ownership. We love supporting your shop and it's our favorite breakfast burrito joint in the front range. Giant Burrito
I'm sorry to report that Burrito Giant has closed its doors for good. I went this morning to get a burrito, and spoke with the owner. They have retired after 14 years. They will be missed.
